A friend of mine remarked the other day on the big difference between “feeling” our wounds and “carrying” them. I was stunned by this seemingly simple insight. It is the difference between being involved in the healing needed….or still being caught drama of the situation. They are very much on opposite ends of the spectrum. One is actively working on clearing and moving past what is affecting you, the other is when you are still occupying the space of “being wounded.”
Wounds are like a rope with a knot in it.
Often when untying the knot there will be a slight dent, bend, or memory of the knot, but the rope is now free of the knot. When we clear the “energy” of a wound that is causing emotional pain this is what happens. There will still be memory of the event, but the intense emotions and their emotional charge are released.
How you process will also affect how you “carry” and how you “clear” your wounds.
Do you know how you process? Are you Emotionally Centered? When you are Emotionally Centered you go first to your emotions to process life’s circumstances and events. Or, are you Intellectually Centered? Initially processing through thought, through your mind. Emotionally Centered people feel things first. Intellectually Centered people process mentally to gain an understanding first.
Understanding how you process gives you greater insight!.
It is a piece of the puzzle of “who you are,” why things affect you the way they do, and how you can best clear them. There is an abundance of information and resources available these days, and amazing tools to help. It’s time to heal!!I
